Having farmed all my life, I know one thing best: energy is finite. If you use it all up watering today, you won't have the energy to weed tomorrow; if you're exhausted this season, you won't have the energy for next season. But the work in the fields is never-ending; you can only squeeze out every last drop of energy, until in the end, you're old and the land isn't even properly cultivated.

Actually, some energy can be saved. Watering can be completely handed over to machines and pipes. You don't need to chase after water with a shovel, carry buckets of water, or check on the crops repeatedly. The water will flow on its own, the pipes will be laid automatically; you only need to lift a finger at the beginning, and the rest will do.

The energy saved can be used for more important things. You can focus on the crops' growth—which plots are lacking fertilizer, which seedlings are diseased, which fruit trees need pruning. These are issues you were too busy to consider before, but now you can take your time and think about them carefully. Crops need more than just water; they need your eyes and your mind.

How wonderful—this word didn't exist before. Farming was too tiring; how could it be tiring? But now it's different. You stand at the edge of the field, no need to carry a shovel or a load; you can simply watch quietly. Watch the seedlings grow taller day by day, watch the leaves turn greener day by day, watch the fruits ripen day by day. Your energy is saved, and your heart is lighter too.

Save the energy spent on watering, and spend more time observing the crops' growth—how wonderful! From today onward, you are no longer that exhausted farmer, but that field watcher, standing at the edge of the field, quietly observing the crops' growth.
