How to use a water pump to water the home garden, so we are no longer confused

Home gardens are watered with water pumps, which can easily get water from buckets, pools or wells, eliminating the labor of carrying water. The whole process is actually very simple. The key lies in choosing the right water pump, installing it correctly, and using it safely.

Step 1: Choose a water pump based on your water source and garden conditions.

If your water source is a bucket or pond on the ground, and the garden is located higher than the water source, you need a self-priming pump. It can automatically "suck" water up and transport it out.

If your water source is an underground well or deep pool, you need a submersible pump. It is put directly into the water to work without self-priming, and the water lifting height (lift) is larger.

When choosing, focus on the head (how high and far the water can be pumped) and flow (the amount of water produced per hour). For small garden watering, a small pump with a lift of 15-30 meters and a flow rate of 2-5 tons/hour is usually sufficient.

Step 2: Correct connection and installation.

Water pump placement: The self-priming pump should be placed in a stable, dry place close to the water source; the submersible pump should be hoisted into the water with a strong rope and must not sink to the bottom to prevent inhalation of sediment.

Connect the pipe: Use a suitable hose or PVC pipe to connect the water pump outlet. Make sure all joints are tightened to prevent water leakage or falling off affecting pressure.

Turn on the power supply and absorb water: Before using the self-priming pump for the first time, it is necessary to fill it with water from its water injection port and then cover it tightly. Connect the water pump power plug to a socket with a leakage protector.

Step 3: Safe start and watering.

Startup: Turn on the power to the water pump and it will start working. Observe whether the water output and pressure are normal.

Watering: Hold a water pipe or connect a spray gun or sprinkler to water. The water pressure can be adjusted through the valve at the water outlet.

Turn off: After watering, turn off the power first and then remove the water pipe. In winter or when not in use for a long time, the water accumulated in the pump needs to be drained.

A few tips to remember:

It is best to water in the early morning or evening to reduce water evaporation.

Clean the filter at the water inlet of the water pump regularly to prevent clogging.

Do not let the water pump idle (no water flow) for a long time to avoid damage.

A suitable water pump can make garden watering easy and efficient. From today on, say goodbye to the hard work of carrying a bucket and enjoy the fun of smart watering your flowers!
